This Sunday, November 30th the CBS network will show their investigation special “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This special was shot after a 16-week inquiry into the online poker business and in particular a scam in relation to the online Texas Hold’em webpage Absolute Poker.
This poker site was inspected after a few of the Texas Hold’em players on the webpage said that someone was unduly winning an incredible amount of cash. Todd Witteles was a major player in this research, according to him; he was losing huge amounts of poker chips to the exact same Texas Hold’em player. Witteles stated that this man was raising against incredibly good poker hands, most players would have thought he was simply giving his money to the other players, but he was actually earning a great deal of cash.
Witteles was correct with his assumptions, following this it was uncovered that a person on the inside was able to see any poker player’s hole cards. At first look, Absolute Poker stated that there were no problems with the webpage or the poker player. After a great deal of players came forward with accusations, the Texas Hold’em poker website looked further into the situation and made the discovery.
Around Jan. of 2008, the KGC exposed what the Texas Hold’em poker competitors and the poker website had assumed all the time. As it turns out, there was an employee who had broken through the poker site´s security and was playing poker illegitimately for close to a month and a half. The examination established that the Texas Hold’em website had not profited from the unlawful activities at all, and was in no way, shape or form implicated.
These circumstances are further evidence that there must be more rules regarding Texas Hold’em poker websites. The US government needs to authorize and control the online poker business to defend these upright customers. These rules would also regulate the access to these sites by children, which tends to be another issue lately.
