There are a multitude of online poker rooms and casinos on the Internet and they are experiencing extreme success, despite the mountain of laws and regulations that have been aimed at these types of industries by the United States government. 

The question on everyone’s minds is if the online poker rooms and casino industry is more profitable than the traditional brick and mortar counterpart in areas such as the world-famous Las Vegas.  In the long run, it is greatly dependent on the player and their particular set limits and skills, but for the most part, it would seem that playing in online poker rooms would be far more profitable than the traditional Texas Hold’em poker tournament.

First and foremost, the action is much looser and features all manner of alternatives to the casual cash games that can sometimes get dull.  In addition, online poker rooms and casinos offer all manner of promotional features, such as the poker rakeback program and the poker bonus deposit.  Playing at multiple tables would be comical at best and simply is not feasible in the real world.  But this practice of playing on multiple felts for different limits is second nature to players in online poker rooms and online casinos. But with success comes inevitable comparisons to the traditional brick and mortar institution. 

This idea is so alien to the traditional Texas Hold’em poker tournament player that it is simply not even an issue.  In fact, the advantages at online poker rooms and casinos so far outweigh their traditional brick and mortar counterparts that many players indicate a desire to make the transition from traditional Texas Hold’em poker tournament player to professional full-time internet poker room and casino player.  This emphasis on playing on the Internet occurs for a reason, as the web features many advantages over the traditional method of playing in Texas Hold’em poker tournaments.

Some of the features at online poker rooms and casinos certainly would not translate very well to the traditional Texas Hold’em poker tournament, such as the concept of playing at multiple tables simultaneously.  In recent news, the phenomenon of online poker sites and casinos becoming more and more popular on the Internet has grown to epic proportions.  With this tremendous level of success and massive amounts of revenue generated on the Internet poker rooms and casinos have certainly proven that they are a marketable commodity and that there is very little chance of failure at this point.
