Posted under Poker & online poker & poker tournament & texas hold em

World leading internet poker site Full Tilt Poker is unveiling a new and innovative online poker client that incorporates innovative new features on both the front end and backend and makes for an easier poker playing experience.

The first thing players will notice is a brand new start up page including a new revamped look as well as a few brand new elements such as a list of random security guidelines shown on the bottom of the window. FullTiltPoker.com’s updated client gives players 3 separate lobby visualizations: Basic, Standard and Classic View.

The Basic View gives novice poker players the possibility of catching up with the new client and viewing the poker tables without the pressure of playing. The Basic View provides step by step reports on all the existing games of poker, and provides poker players the chance to choose their currency, game type, Game (Hold’em, Omaha Hi or HL, Stud and Mixed Games), Limit (Fixed, Pot or No Limit), and Stake. In addition customers can now observe the excitement before going in to a table with the brand new “Observe Table” option or by clicking on “Browse Table to check out the full list of accessible tables.

The Standard View gives information about all the available games and permits poker players to tailor the list of games and tables to display only the poker games of their choice. This choice also presents players the chance of deciding on the poker table by type, game, stake and view the poker tables before joining the action.

Full Tilt Poker Players can also choose the Classic view and keep FullTilt’s original lobby, however, this choice will be accessible for a short time only and will be terminated soon.

Both the Basic and Standard views also bring in inventive new aspects for example new revolving graphic screen placed on the left that presents Full Tilt Players straight entry to Full Tilt’s bonuses and events including the FTOPS, Iron Man, Play with the Pros, Full Tilt Poker Academy, Deposit Bonuses, and many other poker promotions and Full Tilt Poker Tournaments, as well as an option for video that allows Full Tilt Players to view videos directly from the Full Tilt Poker client.

Online Poker Star Wagering $1.5 Million of Own Money at 3-1 Odds

Posted under Poker & online poker & poker tournament

FullTiltPoker.net has recently launched an original informative site containing all the action of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an intense online heads up poker tournament highlighting some of the greatest high stakes poker players challenging the Heads Up Specialist Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The brand new section offers online poker players and fans the opportunity to stay on top of this historical internet poker challenge and check out timely statistical updates. With this innovative “durrrr Challenge” section fans can follow all the poker action and review each hand played during this poker challenge, and look at tons of statistics, including how many hands were played, session time, cash won, average won during each hand and lots more.

Around six months ago, the twenty-three year old internet poker pro handed out a heads-up poker challenge open to any poker player with the loot, time and ability to accept it. Any poker star entering the durrrr challenge has to wager $500,000 against durrrr’s $1.5 million. Dwan’s challenge states that a minimum 50,000 poker hands need to be played simultaneously at 4 or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the challenge, the poker player who has more money will take home the pool. Basically if you enter the challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 poker hands, then you will get Tom’s $1.5 Million, but if he succeeds by $1 then he will take home your $500,000.

Thus far, a number of professional poker players have accepted to play the “durrrr challenge”, including WSOP Champ Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, however, only Patrick Antonius has said yes to the Full Tilt Poker Challenge. Until now, both poker pros have taken part in a total of 20,647 hands out of 50,000, with Tom leading the count $726,546 total.

Several Tricks for reading poker tells

Posted under poker tips & poker tournament & texas hold em

poker
A vital aspect in the game of poker is conning your opponents by making them think you actually have a good hand, when the truth is it is possible your poker hand is horrible. You may have heard this referred to as “Poker face”, an expressionless face for tricking your competition into believing an idea that might be false.

Having a good poker hand is most likely going to make you more nervous, could possibly cause your hands to shake, and your heartbeat race. These are signs that your poker competition may see very quickly, especially if they are old friends. Be careful not to glimpse at the pot if you have a good poker hand. This is a tell-tale sign to your poker buddies that you are, in your head, adding up what you might win.

In the condition where you have a dreadful poker hand, try not to keep yourself from glancing at your poker buddies, keep your eyes up, and don’t be indecisive about your bet. When you can prove to yourself that your poker hand is just as good, or better than your poker buddies; you will possibly convince them of this as well. Keep in mind to make this seem as natural as possible. Your gestures and motions may be saying one point, while what you are saying are giving them a whole different idea.

Another key to Texas Hold Em is to be attentive to your opponent’s “poker tells”. A “tell” is any kind of expression, physical gesture, or habit that could might tell you something about their poker hand. One basic rule to keep in mind is when your poker buddy is acting as though he has a strong hand; he, in all probability, has a weak Texas Hold Em hand. On the other hand, if he behaves as though he has a weak hand, he in all probability has an excellent Texas Hold Em hand.
