The Biggest cash prize yet was announced by Bodog Poker site, with the main Texas hold em tournament giving away $300,000. The total prizes for the eight day poker event will be more than $650,000, throughout the fourteen tournament event. The Bodog Poker tournament will begin Sunday, September 28th and continues until Sunday, October 5th. The popular sportsbetting website will also feature six “Bounty” tournaments, where the participants can win $109 in Texas Hold em credits for each Team Bodog poker participant they knock out of the poker contest. The most famous poker celebs will be playing all contestants in the Texas Hold em tournament.

Team Bodog pro, Justin Bonomo, is definitely energized about the Texas Hold em championship. Throughout his poker career, the 23 year old has made over $1.4 million. He says that if you had the idea that the first poker championship was big, you will definitely be surprised with this year’s Texas Hold em Tournament and the prize money involved. He also challenges anyone that has the courage to eliminate him from the poker tournament to step forward.

The first Bounty Tournament will be the first poker match in the championship on Sunday. Any poker competitor has the ability to buy-In straight, and any of the other events with cash. Or another alternative is to win their way into the Texas Hold em games through the satellites which are held every night during the poker championship week. Bodog will have six bounty events and seven “Championship Events”, that will have higher buy-ins and deeper stacks.

There are thirteen tournaments which will lead up to the main poker tournament on Sunday, October 5 at 4:00 p.m. E.S.T. All the players who decide to enter the main poker event will have to pay $500 for the buy-in and in exchange will accept 10,000 in Bodog poker chips.
