Online Poker Star Wagering $1.5 Million of Own Money at 3-1 Odds

Posted under Poker & online poker & poker tournament

FullTiltPoker.net has recently launched an original informative site containing all the action of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an intense online heads up poker tournament highlighting some of the greatest high stakes poker players challenging the Heads Up Specialist Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The brand new section offers online poker players and fans the opportunity to stay on top of this historical internet poker challenge and check out timely statistical updates. With this innovative “durrrr Challenge” section fans can follow all the poker action and review each hand played during this poker challenge, and look at tons of statistics, including how many hands were played, session time, cash won, average won during each hand and lots more.

Around six months ago, the twenty-three year old internet poker pro handed out a heads-up poker challenge open to any poker player with the loot, time and ability to accept it. Any poker star entering the durrrr challenge has to wager $500,000 against durrrr’s $1.5 million. Dwan’s challenge states that a minimum 50,000 poker hands need to be played simultaneously at 4 or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the challenge, the poker player who has more money will take home the pool. Basically if you enter the challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 poker hands, then you will get Tom’s $1.5 Million, but if he succeeds by $1 then he will take home your $500,000.

Thus far, a number of professional poker players have accepted to play the “durrrr challenge”, including WSOP Champ Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, however, only Patrick Antonius has said yes to the Full Tilt Poker Challenge. Until now, both poker pros have taken part in a total of 20,647 hands out of 50,000, with Tom leading the count $726,546 total.

Is Shooting your Mouth Off in Texas Hold’em Poker a Good Thing or a Bad Thing?

Posted under no limit texas hold'em & poker strategy & texas hold em

poker playing
Certainly the most despised players at the poker table time and time again will at all times be the boaster. You are familiar with the player I’m talking about. He’s the one that sits down at the poker table and makes sure you’re aware that he wants to win all of your no-limit Texas Hold’em chips; leaving the Texas Hold’em Poker table with the exact same posture that he turned up with. Even if this guy gets killed, he has in his mind that he is the finest no limit Texas Hold’em poker player in the world.

Whereas the majority of poker players would sooner keep away from rivals of this type, there exist other people who argue that showing-off might have its positive side. So, the question that everyone is asking is: Is there in all reality a good Texas Hold’em bragger or unfair Texas Hold’em boaster? Shooting off their mouths about how skilled you are in no-limit Texas Hold’em is really just like stating: “I’m the greatest Texas Hold’em player on the planet, always remember to be on the ball while you’re playing a Texas Hold’em Poker game against me!” Most certainly that is the worst vibe you are going to want to give off playing Texas Hold’em Poker. Also, giving away too much about your Texas Hold’em Poker playing manner can be harmful to your poker game. You most certainly do not want these guys to know how you play certain no limit Texas Hold’em poker hands.

Additionally there are those Texas Hold’em competitors who might make use of show-boating as a type of Texas Hold’em technique, or bluff. Show-boating when you are dealt a particular poker hand might fool your opponents and confuse them about your no-limit Texas Hold’em playing style. You will come across people who may consider this strategy a bit tricky, but it is important to remember that there are not too tons of rules against it in Texas Hold’em Poker. No-limit Texas Hold’em is all about working with what you got and taking advantage of it to the fullest.

Online Poker Investigation Story will be featured on Television

Posted under Poker & online poker & texas hold em

absolute poker
This Sunday, November 30th the CBS network will show their investigation special “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This special was shot after a 16-week inquiry into the online poker business and in particular a scam in relation to the online Texas Hold’em webpage Absolute Poker.

This poker site was inspected after a few of the Texas Hold’em players on the webpage said that someone was unduly winning an incredible amount of cash. Todd Witteles was a major player in this research, according to him; he was losing huge amounts of poker chips to the exact same Texas Hold’em player. Witteles stated that this man was raising against incredibly good poker hands, most players would have thought he was simply giving his money to the other players, but he was actually earning a great deal of cash.

Witteles was correct with his assumptions, following this it was uncovered that a person on the inside was able to see any poker player’s hole cards. At first look, Absolute Poker stated that there were no problems with the webpage or the poker player. After a great deal of players came forward with accusations, the Texas Hold’em poker website looked further into the situation and made the discovery.

Around Jan. of 2008, the KGC exposed what the Texas Hold’em poker competitors and the poker website had assumed all the time. As it turns out, there was an employee who had broken through the poker site´s security and was playing poker illegitimately for close to a month and a half. The examination established that the Texas Hold’em website had not profited from the unlawful activities at all, and was in no way, shape or form implicated.

These circumstances are further evidence that there must be more rules regarding Texas Hold’em poker websites. The US government needs to authorize and control the online poker business to defend these upright customers. These rules would also regulate the access to these sites by children, which tends to be another issue lately.

Posted under Poker & poker championship & poker tips

poker champions
If you were to have a chat with any ordinary person off the street about online poker, they probably wouldn’t believe online poker to be a game of strategy, careful planning, or close examination. Probably when you mention online poker with them, they would more than likely picture some poker buddies lounging around their living room table having conversations and smoking cigarettes. They also may believe poker to be a game of luck and not ability, more similar to a game of craps compared to checkers, for instance.

So the big issue you may have is: “Could I become a millionaire playing poker?”. Believe it or not, there are folks who actually earn a living this way. Numerous people not just come out on top by playing online poker, but also become very rich by competing in texas Hold’em poker. The main thing you need to remember about online Texas Hold’em poker is that although you can play in a Sin City casino, beside blackjack tables and casino slots; in online Texas Hold’em poker you are not competing against the house but against other online Texas Hold’em poker contestants. So, in truth, you are gambling your poker chips against other contenders in a contest of expertise unlike a game of chance.

You may be thinking to yourself: “Doesn’t it pay to be lucky?” Naturally in Texas Hold’em poker, no one really knows which poker cards will be dealt. That doesn’t automatically indicate that one cannot play Texas Hold’em poker with a dependable amount of pre-tournament know-how. One major thing to not forget in Texas Hold’em is that numbers can be your best friend. Math has a rather essential role in the game of Texas Hold’em. So much so, that even if you get somewhat fortunate ever so often the stats always have a way of bringing you back down to earth.

Try to remember that Las Vegas, Nevada casino games like poker where you are in reality playing vs. other actual contenders CAN be won. The more you play the game of Texas Hold’em poker, you will realize that it is more of game of knack and not just genuine chance.

Avoiding Disturbances when you are playing Internet Poker

Posted under Poker & poker championship & texas hold em

poker
The benefits of Full Tilt Poker compared to actual poker rooms are endless, but besides these advantages there are also a number of troubles. Internet poker allows recreational poker players the opportunity to play in pro Texas Hold em Tournaments with pro Texas Hold em players, but these non-professional Texas Hold em players ought to avoid any disruptions that could hurt their chances to win big money.

Many online Texas Holdem players become sidetracked by their environment, or probably by the internet poker webpage they are playing on. These interruptions can in truth cost them great hands and quite possibly their well-deserved Texas Holdem Poker chips. The game of poker is a game of expertise as well as absolute attentiveness, no matter if you are playing at home, or in a brick and mortar poker room.

Most likely, the biggest blunder that online Texas Holdem poker players commit is by competing in more than one table at once. The better part of amateur Full Tilt Poker players will assume that this is a good scheme, but at the end of the day it could prove to be a harm. This scheme of playing different Texas Hold em tables simultaneously will damage your concentration and at the end of the day cost you big. Don’t forget that even the best Texas Holdem players in the world can commit damaging blunders while concentrating their attention on a number of internet poker tables simultaneously.

Any given online Texas Holdem poker player, may at some point, find themselves playing several Full Tilt Poker tables at the same time, while watching a movie, reading their favorite poker blogs, talking on the phone to friends etc. This is a scenario that should be avoided if you desire to win online Texas Holdem games and make the grade for big internet poker tournaments. Remember to concentrate your attention on the other internet poker player’s wagers, their intentions, and your own online Texas Holdem hands if you desire to be the best Texas Hold em player.
